87 iroc no power

i jus got this 87 iroc. when it starts up it idles like crap then after a min you rev it up it idles better. but when you drive it theres like no power after 1/2 throttle. boggin and hesitation. i was told that they took a motor out of a 91 rs throttle body. put it in the 87 iroc and put the 87's tune port intake on it.any ideas? i heard that they were differnt cams? i got mas sensir was bad out of the comp. but changed it and no difference.

Who knows what to believe on the motor swap story. I was told my '85 had a 350 in it when I bought it...LIE.

Drive around a bit, then park and get under it and look at your CAT...if it's glowing, that's your problem.

Try readjusting the TPS(Throttle Position Sensor). Could be thinking your not at full throttle when you are. Also having the TPI on a different motor should cause you no problems. Unless the 87 was a 350 and the put a 305 in it. Then the injectors and the tune are to much for it. But if they are both 305's then your fine. Close enough for the MASS to fine tune the difference.
