tpirocz's Trip - Dale Earnhardt Incorporated (DEI) Thanks to tpirocz, one of IROCZONE's members, we have put together a little gallery of DEI from pictures taken during his visit to Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, located in Mooresville, North Carolina. |

Very interesting story with this as you can see by the picture of the plaque presented by the 1985 IROC-Z. According to tpirocz, it's a 305 Tuned Port Injection (TPI) with automatic transmission. And to think, Dale actually drove that machine. The picture does it no justice as we hear this commemorative IROC-Z is in absolute mint condition. |

Sitting next to the 1985 IROC-Z is one of the first IROC Camaros built to race in the IROC series for the 1985 season (12th to be exact). Still fully operational, this is one of the few left in existence. |

Have you wondered what the vents on the hoods of our IROC-Z's represent? Well now you know. They represent a fully functional air intake venting system developed to feed air into that roaring 355 cubic inch engine of the IROC racer. The IROC racing machine is based on the third generation Camaro Z-28. Starting in 1984, Chevrolet begin producing a commemorative IROC-Z Camaro for release to the public for the 1985 model year. Funny how things piggy back like that huh? |
![]() Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s No. 8 Budweiser Monte Carlo From the 2001 season. Can't see from the picture, but there's a good sized dent in the hood. |
![]() Michael Waltrip's No. 15 NAPA Auto Parts Monte Carlo This is the way Waltrip's car left the track and into Victory Lane that fateful Daytona 500 that took place on February 18, 2001. Right after that, it stayed at the museum there [Daytona] for a year. During the time of the 2002 Daytona race, it was given to DEI for another year and there it sits, still wearing the track soot and rubber from the 2001 Daytona 500 victory. |

A couple of shots of Monte Carlo SS's ... If you look close, there's a DE Camaro SS in the back there. Too sweet! |
