| Oh, the joys of a Tuned Port Injection (TPI) intake system!
Back when the engine ran like complete crap, I decided, right then, that I’d tear down the intake system and clean it up. I noticed a few things, during that process, that needed attention such as several vacuum lines corroded and busted intake gaskets. The IAC valve also needed cleaning. I took this opportunity to port the plenum as well as get a pin-sized hole repaired in one of the water ports in the intake manifold.
And this is how she looks today. Well, almost. I since, replaced the spark plug, wires cap and rotor. I also installed the stock ignition coil back in. I left the Accel alone for now. It’s a good backup I think! With all this said and done, click the 3-chamber Flowmaster (which is to be replaced by the DynoMax cat-back system). You need WinAmp or a compatible MP3 player. Keep in mind, it’s been nearly two years since this ride has sounded like this, so be gentle. She still needs more tuning to go!
